A closer look

When designing the Euro, designers deliberately used fake bridges to prevent any single European country from bragging about their architecture. It was a perfect display of diplomatic neutrality until a rogue Dutch town named Spijkenisse ruined the joke. They hired an architect to physically construct exact replicas of every single fake bridge printed on the currency, violently forcing real-world copyright into existence.
