Jean-Claude Van Damme nearly played Predator

Before he was kicking people in the face on camera, Van Damme was miserable in a red rubber alien suit. He was originally cast to play the invisible stalker in 'Predator', but complained constantly about the suffocating heat and the fact that his martial arts skills were entirely hidden by the clunky costume. He quit, saving himself from jungle dehydration.
