Why deep water looks blue

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

The deep end of a pool looks beautifully blue, but it has absolutely nothing to do with reflecting the sky above it. Water molecules are completely biased; they readily absorb the weak red wavelengths of light while allowing the higher-energy blue wavelengths to easily bounce back to your eyes. The deeper the water gets, the more aggressively the red vanishes.
