A closer look
After the pandemic, the rules of socializing got scrambled. Even the chattiest extroverts suddenly find small talk exhausting, as though the art of mingling vanished overnight. What used to be casual catch-ups now feels like climbing a mountain in flip-flops—awkward, draining, and oddly intimidating. Humans are wired for connection, but when routines were interrupted for so long, our social muscles grew weaker. Now, every conversation feels like a marathon warm-up nobody asked for, and we’re all relearning how to simply exist together.
