A closer look
Cash is king, but it is also a highly efficient vector for horrific diseases. Paper currency continuously circulates through unwashed hands, damp pockets, and questionable vending machines, cultivating a massive petri dish of fecal bacteria, cocaine residue, and active flu viruses. Public toilet seats are routinely blasted with heavy chemical bleach, whereas a one-dollar bill is never washed once in its miserable multi-year lifespan. Paying with cash is functionally identical to shaking hands with a biohazard.
