Lightning can make antimatter

As if hundreds of millions of volts weren't bad enough, thunderstorms are also dropping antimatter. The intense energy of a lightning bolt can create highly radioactive gamma-ray flashes, which physically strip electrons from their energetic resting places and spontaneously generate positrons out of thin air. Getting struck by lightning is essentially getting a microscopic antimatter bombardment.
