Why Muppets favor their left hands

Have you ever noticed that Kermit the Frog and his felt brethren almost exclusively use their left hands? Because most puppeteers are right-handed, their dominant hand operates the puppet's intricate mouth movements, leaving their clumsy left hand to operate the character's arms. Ergo, nearly every Muppet in existence is biologically southpaw.
