Movie statues may be made from Styrofoam

The majestic, ancient stone guardian looming over the heroic explorer is actually destined for a landfill in about three weeks. Building massive set pieces out of actual stone or metal is wildly expensive and ruins the structural integrity of the studio floor. Decorators simply carve gigantic blocks of cheap Styrofoam, coat them in textured paint, and hope nobody leans on them too hard.
