Bling is surprisingly stretchy. Gold is the most malleable and ductile metal known to humanity. It refuses to break easily, meaning a single, measly ounce of gold (about the size of a quarter) can be drawn out into a microscopic wire that stretches for fifty miles. You could literally wrap a gold thread around a small city, assuming no one stole it first.
