How sunlight prints microscopic circuits

You cannot physically print a microscopic circuit using ink, so fabricators cover the silicon with a light-sensitive chemical and flash patterns onto it using ultraviolet light. The exposed areas harden, and the unexposed areas are aggressively washed away with chemicals. We basically build the world's most complex machines by forcing rocks to sunbathe through tiny stencils.
