Air Force One is not actually the registered name of a specific, hyper-advanced presidential airplane, but rather the designated air traffic control call sign for any United States Air Force aircraft currently carrying the sitting President. If the Commander in Chief suddenly decides to board an ancient, rusty cargo plane or a tiny propellor trainer jet just for a laugh, that dilapidated hunk of flying junk immediately inherits the highly prestigious title of Air Force One.
