Being immortalized as the greatest villain in documentary history apparently isn't enough for some egos. After The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters painted hot-sauce mogul Billy Mitchell as the arrogant nemesis of underdog Steve Wiebe, the arcade community viciously scrutinized Mitchell's 'untouchable' Donkey Kong scores. When technical sleuths proved he used an emulator rather than original arcade hardware to achieve his records, Twin Galaxies stripped him of his titles. Naturally, Mitchell responded with a barrage of defamation lawsuits, proving that real-life retro arcade drama is vastly more petty than the games themselves.
