While Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is widely credited as the first feature-length animated movie, it was technically beaten to the punch by exactly twenty years. In 1917, an Argentine filmmaker created 'El Apóstol,' a sprawling seventy-minute political satire using cutout animation, but every single reel was tragically destroyed in a studio fire shortly after.
