The metal that changes shape near a magnet

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Terbium undergoes a bizarre phenomenon known as magnetostriction. Whenever it is introduced to a strong magnetic presence, its atomic lattice physically warps and stretches, causing the solid metal to literally change its overall shape. It basically flexes its structural layout in a frantic response to being near a common magnet.
