In a desperate gimmick to make audiences pay for the same movie multiple times, theaters received random reels of the 1985 board game adaptation. Depending on which cinema you walked into, you would get one of three entirely different culprits for the murder. It completely backfired, confusing the hell out of audiences and tanking at the box office before becoming a cult classic on VHS.
