You have to respect a writer's room that commits this hard to a bit about permanent dismemberment. Long before Buster lost his hand to a loose seal, the show dropped obsessive visual hints. He sat on a bench that perfectly obscured the letters to spell 'ARM OFF', played the claw machine to win a stuffed seal, and literally found his old hand-shaped chair missing. It was a masterclass in treating a character's tragic mutilation as a perfectly crafted punchline.
