Pretending to throw someone through a glass table requires a shocking amount of actual martial arts mastery. To make modern combat scenes look visceral, actors spend months at specialized tactical facilities learning genuine judo throws and weapon handling, essentially becoming lethal weapons themselves. By the time filming concludes, the lead actor could probably take down an actual street gang, which seems like overkill for someone whose main job is memorizing dialogue.
