The tree that grows new trunks from its branches

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Most trees understand the basic concept of roots staying in the ground, but the Banyan tree aggressively refuses to follow the rules. It sprouts aerial roots directly from its branches, letting them dangle awkwardly until they hit the dirt. Once anchored, they thicken into entirely new secondary trunks, allowing one single tree to slowly walk and expand across a whole field.
