The most majestic horse in fantasy history is also a massive, unapologetic snob when it comes to riders. Medieval bestiaries insisted that wild unicorns were impossibly fast and absolutely vicious, capable of skewering elephants. Yet, for some entirely unexplained reason, they would instantly become docile lapdogs if a young, unmarried woman sat in the woods. Apparently, mythical beasts care deeply about human relationship statuses before deciding whether to attack.
