When your museum is too crowded, you have to invent creative ways to kick people out. P.T. Barnum put up signs reading 'This Way to the Egress,' knowing his uneducated patrons would assume an 'Egress' was a fascinating exotic bird. They followed the signs right out the exit door and had to pay another dime to get back inside.
