Winning World War II was evidently just a backup career for a man who once dabbled in tree-hugging mysticism. In 1908, a young Winston Churchill was officially initiated into the Ancient Order of Druids at Blenheim Palace. While it was mostly a fraternal networking group masquerading as mystical pagans, the mental image of the cigar-chomping bulldog of a Prime Minister wearing a long white robe to politely worship an oak tree is undeniably hilarious.
