Sometimes marketers just really want to get straight to the point. The famous mystery board game was originally patented simply under the incredibly aggressive title 'Murder'. Fearing this was perhaps slightly too grim for cheerful family gatherings, executives softened the title to Cluedo before releasing it to the general public.
