Scania's platooning protocols link a convoy of trucks via localized 5G connections, allowing the lead vehicle to completely control the braking and acceleration of every truck behind it. This creates a digitally synchronized road train that follows with just a one-second gap, drastically cutting aerodynamic drag and extending the battery life of the entire massive fleet.
