A closer look

Washing windows is apparently too tedious for modern chemistry, so we made glass that cleans itself using ultraviolet radiation. When titanium dioxide coatings are struck by sunlight, they act as a photocatalyst, generating highly reactive electrons that relentlessly attack and break down organic dirt and grime. When it rains, the water sheets off perfectly, carrying the pulverized dirt away. The building essentially takes its own shower.
