A closer look
Landing an aircraft takes time, and when somebody is bleeding out on an operating table, time is the ultimate enemy. Zipline drones operating in Rwanda completely abandoned the concept of landing. They bomb rural hospitals with medical supplies via parachute at high speeds. When the drone returns to base, it doesn't land gracefully; it flies full speed into a vertically suspended arresting wire that violently snags a hook on its tail, catching the drone out of thin air like a fighter jet landing on an aircraft carrier.
