A lost postbag from 313 AD reads exactly like a modern toxic group chat about money. Unearthed in the Taklamakan Desert, the "Sogdian Ancient Letters" are an archive of undelivered mail from an ancient Iranian merchant network. The most iconic letter is from a furious woman named Miwnay, who bitterly complains that her deadbeat merchant husband abandoned her and their daughter in Dunhuang with massive debts, declaring she would rather be married to a pig or dog.
