At key moments, the viewer selects between options for Stefan, a young programmer adapting a branching novel into a video game. If you hesitate or choose an apparently dull option, the film can respond with a deliberately mundane scene—or make the choice itself the joke.

That response turns a familiar feature of interactive entertainment into pressure. The viewer is not simply picking what happens next; the film notices how they engage and folds that behavior into Stefan’s experience.
