Rainbows are actually full circles
HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART
If you think a rainbow is just a pretty arch, you've been entirely deceived by the ground. Rainbows are actually perfect, complete optical circles created by light bouncing around inside tiny water droplets. The only reason it looks like an arch is because the pesky horizon physically blocks the bottom half of the glowing loop from your line of sight.
