Jane Austen published her novels without her name
One of the greatest authors in history didn't even put her name on her own books. Austen's first novel, Sense and Sensibility, was simply credited to 'A Lady'. Pride and Prejudice was credited to 'The Author of Sense and Sensibility'. It wasn't until after her death that her brother finally let the public know who had been writing the brilliant satire.
