In 2018, SpaceX needed a dummy payload for the Falcon Heavy test flight, so Elon Musk strapped his own cherry-red Tesla Roadster to the rocket. It is currently orbiting the sun, complete with a mannequin named Starman listening to David Bowie on a continuous loop.
