General Sherman is a giant sequoia so incredibly dense and wide that it holds the title for the largest single-stem tree by pure volume. Standing like a wooden skyscraper, its massive trunk aggressively mocks every other sapling in the forest. It essentially spent thousands of years hoarding atmospheric carbon just to become overwhelmingly huge.
