Nothing screams military genius quite like running away crying. Mongol cavalry perfected the 'feigned retreat,' deliberately breaking formation and fleeing in apparent panic. When the arrogant enemy chased them down, exhausting their horses and losing all defensive cohesion, the Mongols casually turned around and slaughtered everyone.
