Unlike highly noisy pigeons or aggressive falcons, nocturnal owls have successfully evolved incredibly specialized, velvety fringes perfectly lining the sharp leading edges of their primary feathers. This microscopic aerodynamic modification aggressively diffuses turbulent air currents, successfully dampening standard aviation frequencies to allow the massive predator to strike utterly undetected.
