Using neuromorphic processors like Intel's Loihi, researchers map event-based tactile sensors that mimic the asynchronous neural firing of living skin. Instead of constantly sending massive data streams, these sensors only transmit electrical spikes when pressure or texture changes occur, allowing artificial hands to process sensory feedback instantly and handle delicate objects without crushing them.
