Playing hide-and-seek is infinitely more stressful when the person hiding can summon wolves to eat you. In this asymmetrical masterpiece, the hunter players move their physical pawns around a massive, beautifully illustrated board of Europe, completely blind to the villain's actual whereabouts. The Dracula player operates entirely off-board, using a secret deck of location cards to log their movement in a private ledger. When a hunter inevitably stumbles into a city Dracula previously visited, the vampire is forced to reveal a breadcrumb—usually in the form of a trap. This creates a terrifyingly brilliant cat-and-mouse dynamic where the hunters feel like they are chasing a ghost, while the Dracula player sits in silent, sweating panic hoping nobody realizes he’s just been doing laps around London for the past forty-five minutes.
