Vapor chambers spread heat via micro condensation

A vapor chamber operates exactly like a standard copper heat pipe, but it is squashed completely flat. The inside is lined with a microscopic copper wick that continuously channels condensed liquid back toward the hottest part of the chip. It is an incredibly elaborate metallic sponge that uses phase-changing fluids just to keep your frame rates stable.
