HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

If you want to pull plasma out of whole blood, you cannot just filter it. Instead, laboratories strap vials of blood to a wheel and spin them at nauseating speeds. This rapid spinning generates massive centrifugal force, physically crushing the heavier red blood cells to the bottom of the tube while the lighter, yellowish plasma floats obliviously at the top.
