A cheat that turns driving into flight
The flying-car cheat changes how the game treats vehicles: instead of staying pinned to the road, a car can lift off and move through the air. It is a world-level cheat, not a special upgrade for one sedan, so the effect applies to ordinary cars too. The exact button sequence depends on the platform and controller.
From road speed to airborne control
The trick is that the car still behaves like a car at first. Build speed on a clear stretch, then steer upward to climb; once airborne, steering lets you guide the vehicle through the sky. There are no wings to deploy or flight lessons to complete—the cheat makes a familiar driving action produce an unfamiliar result.
That sudden shift is part of the appeal. San Andreas’s roads and traffic become a launch point, while rooftops, hills, and open sky turn into an improvised route. But a flying car is still a vehicle with momentum, so landing takes room and a careless descent can end with a wreck rather than a smooth return to the road.
