Paranoia makes you do crazy things, like micro-dosing arsenic with breakfast. King Mithridates VI popularized the idea, but Roman emperors adopted the practice of drinking a mixture of small toxins daily. The goal was to build an immunity just in case a rebellious senator spiked their wine. Ironically, if they ever needed to commit suicide via poison, it wouldn't work.
