Duck stance angles snowboard bindings outward

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Standing perfectly parallel is boring, so riders angle their toes completely away from each other. The duck stance sets the front binding angled toward the nose and the back binding angled toward the tail. It looks profoundly un-athletic while standing completely still, but it magically allows riders to easily switch directions without their kneecaps spontaneously detaching.
