Not all rock formations are tough and intimidating. Under highly specific subterranean conditions, calcium carbonate precipitates into a microscopic lattice that holds massive amounts of water, resulting in a distinctly gooey, paste-like slime coating the cavern walls. It is literally rock that feels terribly similar to cream cheese.
