Evolution clearly ran out of original ideas and just decided to build an armadillo the size of a Volkswagen Beetle. Glyptodon was a prehistoric mammal entirely encased in a massive domed shell of solid bone. It waddled around ancient grasslands completely ignoring any external threats, mostly because biting into it would be the equivalent of trying to aggressively chew a bank vault.
