As if stealing your precious hemoglobin wasn't insulting enough, they leave a little parting gift. Blood is heavy and severely compromises a mosquito's ability to fly away. To maximize calorie intake without getting weighed down, the mosquito rapidly filters the water out of your blood and casually excretes a droplet of urine directly onto your skin while continuing to feed.
