Cézanne's wife fell asleep while posing for him

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Posing for Paul Cezanne was practically a medieval endurance torture test. The post-impressionist painter was so agonizingly slow that he demanded his subjects sit absolutely motionless for literally hundreds of hours. His own wife frequently fell asleep out of sheer exhaustion, and he famously yelled at a patron for moving, telling him to 'sit like an apple'.
